The French Revolution was a period of time in the 1700's in France where the peasants were poor and hungry, the rich throwing parties, and the country in huge debt. As a result of these tensions, the people revolted against the government and overthrew it, executing thousands afterwards by guillotinne. Fun for the whole family!
